Dave Aftandilian Well-matched split exploring urban depression, desperation, and decay. Love the doomy post-metal vibe from Chrome Waves, and especially the hallucinatory dissolutionary dark ambience of Suicide Forest’s second track, which for me evokes a creepy portrait of an abandoned industrial landscape. Yet despite all the darkness on both sides of this split, there are also fleeting moments of shining light dancing; instances of transcendent beauty amongst a lifetime of suffering.

H.L. "A fitting end...", the opener is already the highlight of this split release: Intense, touching and creeping depressive black metal at its best! The following ambient soundscape is not my cup of tea and a track I skip. The following epic CHROME WAVES track is soulful, dark and full of atmosphere and the second highlight before the EP ends with three instrumental minutes. In total: 2 killers + 2 fillers, but definitely worth the purchase! Favorite track: A Fitting End....
